About Our Proprietor and Watchmaker

Our proprietor, Ray Brown, started his apprenticeship in London. After becoming qualified, he trained with various watch houses before setting up Time Repair Services in 1973. He has continued to attend courses such as the Rolex accreditation and separated functions courses, and the Seiko quartz course.

He was also one of the first in the UK to pass the British Horological Institute Escapement Course. Ray has since gone on to teach this course, and others, at the Institute, as well as carrying out private tuition in his well-equipped workshop.

As a highly qualified and experienced watchmaker, Ray now concentrates on providing the highest quality service and repair work for all brands. He specialises in complex repairs and

watch restoration

of vintage, collectable, and rare watches.
